Introduction

Born in Perth, Western Australia, after graduating high school, I moved to California for University. I attended Santa Monica College for a few semesters before knowing what I wanted to study. I transferred to El Camino College to play basketball and attained my Associates Degree in General Studies. I then transferred to California State University, Long Beach and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, specializing in Physical Education. and then completed my Single Subject Teaching credential.
I taught Physical Education at South Gate Middle School before transferring to South East Middle School and starting the Physical Education program there in 2004.
I attended California State University, Dominguez Hills and got my Masted in Education-School counseling and a PPS credential. In 2006, I married and due to his military transfer in 2008, I moved to San Diego and taught Physical Education at Coronado High School. We then moved to Petaluma, Ca (north of San Fransisco) where it again taught Physical Education in at Mill valley Middle school. We then once again transferred, this time to West Virginia on the East Coast. Here I counseled grades TK-5. Once we returned to California, I again taught Physical Education for a few years before returning to LAUSD to counsel students. I returned to LAUSD in July 2020.
I believe that students are more than just grades and academics, and work with them to explore their interests and talents. I believe that a well rounded child is a successful child. I look forward to working with both our student and their families to assist them in their successes.
