Meeting you have special guests we are welcome amazing counselor we have Miss abrahamian misma red and his blasted this is actually my first time eating our favorite chili so I am for this meeting I am excited for everyone to see what Mac the parents can you please can sleep as soon as you guys please rename yourself I'm so glad we made yourself by clicking on participants on the list and I'm the bad witch would be on here but on the middle I believe your left hand side where your mouth over to your name in the on the right I believe on the right side and click it and you just press the reading option just please rename yourself with your first and last name and will go ahead and be able to identify everyone else yourself did it go on to the next one go ahead and have Miss behavin retardation so this is Art and I'm sure many of you seen it at our presentations it's our mission vision and a student learning objectives are lap of leadership Public Service Virtual Academy vision is the leadership and public service Virtual Academy prepare students with the four C's to prepare them for leadership and public service within the global Community are four seas are critical thinking find solutions to real-world problems creativity develop ideas to support the community collaboration work with their ears local leaders and organizations medication engage in meaningful conversations to effect change and our mission is to emerge As Leaders to develop ride and community service solve real-world problems engage in building strong Community relationship students will cultivate career path towards areas of leadership and public service by working collaboratively with Community leaders and organizations why lending their voice to prepare to create a better world for themselves and others are Phoenix leaders are reflected innovators who are solutions driven and engaged to make a difference in the global community and this this is something we share with our students every time you have a presentation to to go over the behavior expectations so the expectations are Beyond Time respectful this is just in general always demonstrate Phenix Pride with in Thai attend Zoom meetings and synchronous sessions daily with cameras on log on to schoology daily to access course works and links and grades it's important that students understand and parents understand that schoology has all that information and today we'll go over how you access school and she and also have them that everything is in the parent portal for you to access attend weekly rolling meetings with a parent or Guardian it is important to to attend our meetings that's because that's where you find out about your students grades and how they're doing how they can improve and teachers do make a time and schedule D so it is it it's important to attend those meetings that would help your student to succeed and also complete assignments on time and make satisfactory progress with grades and attendance and I always tell my students that you could do old the other four but if you do not complete assignments then there is nothing to show for it so it is important to complete assignments on time to get better grades my name is Miss Alaska and I am here to introduce our lovely administrative Team all traitors are accessible at each of our welcome centers first we have our interim principal Miss Veronica and I have persistent principal Miss Candelaria dell'orco was at the Sherman Oaks Welcome Center we have our assistant principal Esteban and Steven Lopez I am located at the Vermont at elementary school welcome center and then last but not least we have our appetiser special populations to South Stearman I'm in addition to that and joining us today we have our our office staff Miss Denise chicas who the community Representatives introduce ourselves herself already she also spearhead step parent Center so thank you for having us today in the Sherman Oaks Welcome Center we have Mr Nina shepit Miss Maria Daisy Mae in the Vermont Welcome Center we have Miss Yvonne Tamayo. florist chicas is located the Vermont welcome center and then in our Washington High School Washington Prep High School Welcome Center we have missed the Tasha Simmons and miss Monica Vieira thank you Miss Velazquez my name is Romy and I would like to introduce our wonderful coordinators at our Academy we have Miss Duncan she's our Beats app coordinator and restorative justice m b. Let me know though she's our intervention coordinator and Middle School College and Career Miss by guy in problem solving data coordinator as well as testing coordinator is bojorquez she's in charge of our art Grant this year giving less two students are in the visual arts miss you landed on this Lopez is Arielle Lorre be the new term the emerging bilingual designee and English learner instructional coach used to cut leaders are special education service provider and yours truly my name is from a title one coordinator and last but not least certainly not least we have our three wonderful counselor's be Saint Lucia brahaney is she the students in elementary and middle school Miss Emma Morris. He is Arlie counselor and she service to students in 9th through 11th grade and our wonderful Miss Irene Velasquez she's a she works 12th graders and she is also the college counselor and on that note ladies take it away this is your show now it's okay we have the plan for do which is an that all I do is be friends are mandated to create an account for yeah you'll be able to access or personal be able to at least that's your child. But you'll be able to check to make sure we're on track to graduate and in contact with their teachers spank signing up to your grandpa will ask you also have access to your school which is also and it will be able to have access to your students course and you'll be able to have access to your teacher and if you have to your child for any need for any reason just put it in to see how the child okay so personalized learning system thanking parents to for portal to schoology besides schoology Parent Portal is is is a site where you can have information about let me see I wanted to show you I can't find the link so this is this is where you go to find out how would what it is so LAUSD mobile app which is the point on new Parent Portal website upgrade has old information for you so when you go here this is where you go you go and login register and I'll show you that in a second this will give you access to your students information you can effortlessly navigate through the apps dashboard to access real-time information on students attending grade assignments graduation progress and more stay on top of academic progress there's pop-up notification remind update Beach link to schoology all that information is very current engage with school Side by accessing news events and calendar items found on the school's website also experienced the convenience of apps compatibility with the latest GPS transfer this is really interesting because what you can do when you click on that you could see if your if your student is traveling by bus you see where exactly the buses it is for field trips even when your child is traveling from school to home you could see exactly where they are so that's pretty awesome and much more what I'm going to do now I'm just going to play this one and a half minute families how do you can stay up-to-date with your child's academic progress in real time using the Los Angeles Unified School District LAUSD Parent Portal research suggests that when families and schools collaborate students perform better academically and are more likely to engage in behaviors the parent portal is an excellent tool that enables you to partner with your charm school by offering one-click access to daily attendance assignment updates emergency contact information special education services schoology and digital for students we are excited to announce our latest feature meal and nutrition with this new edition you can't effortlessly view your child's full menu and stay up-to-date on what they're eating but that's not all our real-time bus route updates and visual map tracking your child's journey to and from school more convenient than ever stay informed and have peace of mind with our all-in-one solution in addition the parent portal features a user-friendly sidebar that allows parents to easily navigate and access all the information available within the portals including Resource Center news and events and more register for an account today at Parent Portal app. Lausd.net or download the app from the app store or Google Play If you require your sister please contact your school site or the leusd family hotline by calling 213-443-1300 or live agents are available to support you all right so Doug. Some that's how to get into how to register and have access to the app so now I want to go over how to access igp import Parent Portal many of you parents and students have heard of individualized graduation plan for our students do in 6th grade students start in my sister's they start to collect data about their grades and their grade point averages what classes they're taking and so on so so when you click on the app and then you go to parents login you enter username and password School down to my students and click on students name igp icon would be right here so all these are apps that like there's who would you right here and there are others and when you click on at your and you click on the student and the igp your students igp will appear and this is this is an example of an iup and Miss Alaska's is going to quickly go over this to show you what access you have as far as a parent for your student yes absolutely so this is a tool for student this until that we utilize in our individual graduation plan meetings the cow sing team will be meeting with your student at some point this semester individually to discuss their progress towards either culmination or towards graduation 8th grade level counselor again will be meeting with your student individually to review what is expected your student this tool here will help you to monitor the two things are the two most important elements of modern are your students progress for graduation that is the number of credits that they currently have and then the number Anna content courses for which they have completed their currently enrolled and which are still required so again this is just a this is a tool that you have access to to discuss with your student I recommend or we recommend that you do download this report every semester at the end of the semester when courses are recorded the fall semester ends in December and that is a credit bearing grades and that spring semester ends again this is a great tool for you to be able to monitor not only a progress for his graduation but also to visually see what what your plan can be for the preceding year and courses you should take for the preceding if you have any questions please contact your students grade level counselor and we'd be more than happy to review this with you thank you hi everybody I'm mrs. rat then 11th grade counselor I'm going to shift Avenues a little bit what we do ask is the link in the chat please access that to access the school experience we do ask that this is my every staff member student and parent in our school when you go to the link sorry we need to go to the link it'll come up as this dark blue screen click on the parent survey in the language that applies to you take your time completing the information and then submit that I'm that does register on our land as a percentage of how many people have taken it we greatly appreciate your assistance in the go to the next time please I'm contact information for your children's counselors are listed to listed on the screen if she's name is Abraham yet she is in charge of a seeing-eye through 8 myself mrs.
